Research has shown that the forehead temperatures closely follow internal,or “core”temperatures movements.The central forehead is notably free of fat or obscuring and insulating tissue masses.So use this liquid crystal forehead thermometer,you can monitor your/your children’ core body temperature in a fast,accurate way,and take prompt preventive action.You can obtain an accurate temperature in about 15 seconds.It’s simply a matter of watching the liquid crystal display until the colors stop changing.
What are Liquid Crystal?
They are the most thermally sensitive materials known,possessing a unique state of matter:the optical properties of both liquids and crystals.The colorful diffracting liquid crystals are cholesteric esters which change colors when their molecules,which are in a spiral structural form,are caused to change due to temperature variations.Such molecular movement results in visible color shifts which are evident to the eye.
How to use Forehead thermometer?
- Hold the forehead thermometer strip at each end and place firmly against dry forehead just above the eyebrows.Hold in place until the colors stop changing in about 15 seconds.
- Read the forehead thermometer strip while still held against the forehead.If alone,use a mirror to read the reversed lower scale.
- Green color indicates the correct temperature.If green does not appear,the temperature is mid-way between that indicated by tan and blue colors.
- Forehead temperatures are lower than oral temperature by normal differences of 3.8°to 6(2.1°to 3.3).The readings on the forehead thermometer have been adjusted to approximate the difference between forehead and oral temperatures.For a more exact reading,use a digital or glass thermometer.
For best results:
- Use indoors at room temperature between 68-86(20-30).Do not use after sun bathing or exposure to extreme heat heat or cold.
- Wait 30 minutes after eating,drinking or exercising before taking temperature.For most accurate reading , a rest of at least 5 minutes prior to taking temperature is recommended.
- After use,the forehead thermometer should be cleaned with a soft cloth and stored in its protective case,away from direct sunlight,dampness,or heat.
